Maidenwell Rest Area – T, F, M, D. Rest area in Maidenwell QLD, opposite the hall on Coomba Falls Rd. Fairly small area, shady trees, quiet but close to the road and corner shops. Have stayed here a couple of times on the way up to Bunya Mountains. Rating – 2

Bonshaw Weir – T, OR, F, M, D. Just inside the NSW border, 21km SE of Texas. Smallish area next to weir, surrounded by farmland, cattle trucks do use the dirt road it’s on. Our only objection to here is that it allows long term stays. Pit toilet, fishing in weir. Rating – 3.5
